1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small value stored by your browser so a website can preserve state across requests. Web apps use cookies to recognize signed-in sessions, secure actions, and avoid asking you to authenticate on every page.

Browser local storage is a separate mechanism that lets a page remember preferences on your device without automatically sending them with every request.

2. Sessions and authentication

Codz uses a session cookie to associate requests with a signed-in account. This cookie is part of authentication and must not be shared. Never copy its value into a conversation, support ticket, or screenshot.

A session does not replace good security practices. Sign out on shared devices, lock your device, and use a unique password. If you think your session has been compromised, contact support.

3. Locally stored preferences

Your browser may store preferences such as the light or dark theme and language. These preferences keep the interface consistent on your next visit and may be stored locally rather than in a cookie.

Clearing site data may reset these preferences and sign you out. It does not necessarily delete information stored on the server, such as your profile or conversation history.

4. How can you manage this data?

Your browser settings usually let you view and delete cookies or data stored by a site. The exact labels vary by browser and version.

Blocking all cookies may prevent sign-in from working correctly.

5. Third-party cookies and external providers

External resources may be loaded to provide fonts, icons, payment services, or AI models. These services have their own policies and may receive technical information needed for a request. Processing depends on which resources are loaded and the active configuration.

When you open an external checkout, you leave the Codz interface and interact with the named provider. Read its terms and privacy policy before submitting payment information.

6. Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated if session mechanisms, preferences, or third-party services change. For questions about personal data, read the Privacy Policy or contact support through the contact page.
